However, the current plight of the surrounding villagers, who bear the responsibility of upholding the fame of Jainism in this hallowed vicinity, is truly distressing. A staggering eighty-five percent (85%) of the population lives below the poverty line, struggling with unemployment. Their pursuit of wealth leads them to engage in activities that compromise the sanctity of the pilgrimage site and harm the environment that was once pristine.

Hence, it is imperative to ensure the preservation of Tirtharaj’s sanctity and natural integrity by facilitating comprehensive development for the residents of this area. This will not only uplift their standard of living but also enhance their respect within society and foster a deeper connection. They themselves understand the significance of Tirtharaj.

To fulfill this noble purpose, the esteemed Saint Shiromani Acharya Guruvar Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj, with his divine blessings, and his influential disciple Muni Shri Pramansagar Ji Maharaj, established Shri Sewayatan.
